Terms of service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and My Tailored Menu for using mytailoredmenu.com and the weekly meal-planning service it provides. We've written them in plain language on purpose. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.
The service
My Tailored Menu is a paid subscription that sends you a weekly plan of dinners chosen for your household's preferences, a consolidated shopping list, and step-by-step recipes — by email and on this website. Features vary by plan; what each plan includes is listed on the pricing section of our home page.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to subscribe, and the email address on your account must be yours and stay reachable — it is how you sign in and how the product is delivered.
- There are no passwords. Signing in works by a link or one-time code sent to your email, so keeping your email account secure keeps your My Tailored Menu account secure.
- Your account is for you and your household. Please don't share access outside it or resell anything the service produces.
Trials, billing, and Paddle
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for all our orders: Paddle handles the checkout, processes your payment, applies any applicable taxes, and is the name that appears on your card statement. We never see or store your card details.
- Every subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required to start it, but nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the subscription converts to the paid plan you chose, at the price shown at checkout, and renews each billing period until you cancel.
- We email you before your trial converts — including 3 days and 1 day before the first charge — naming the amount and who will bill you. No surprise charges is a rule we hold ourselves to.
- You can cancel at any time from your account page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Details, including our money-back policy on your first charge, are in the refund & cancellation policy.
- If we ever change a plan's price, existing subscribers are notified in advance by email, and the change never applies silently to a charge you weren't told about.
Food, allergies, and health — please read this one
- The allergens and must-avoid ingredients you set are filtered from every plan we build for you, on every plan level, always.
- Even so, you must verify allergen information for your own safety. Recipes describe ingredients generically; the actual products you buy can differ (a sauce may contain wheat, a factory may process nuts). Always check the label on what you actually purchase.
- My Tailored Menu provides culinary guidance, not medical or dietary advice. Filters like "lower sodium" are cooking preferences, not clinical programs. If you have a medical condition, please rely on your doctor or dietitian — not on us — for health decisions.
- Nutrition figures are estimates for the recipe as written, computed from USDA food data. They are honest estimates, but they are estimates.
- Follow safe food-handling practices when you cook. Our recipes include conservative guidance, but you are the cook in your kitchen.
Our content and yours
- The recipes, plans, and other content we provide are for your personal, household use. Print them, cook from them, share a shopping list with your family — but please don't republish or commercially redistribute them.
- Your preferences, favorites, and requests remain yours. You can view and edit them any time, export your data, or delete your account entirely from your account page — see the privacy policy.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time; if we make a change that materially reduces what your subscription includes, or a material change to these terms, we will tell you by email first.
Ending things
You can cancel your subscription or delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, other people, or these terms; if we ever had to close your account without such a cause, we would refund the unused remainder of what you've paid.
Liability, in plain words
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
